Folks familiar with life in the Town and County of Culpeper are not surprised when television programs and newspaper and magazine articles feature Culpeper. Culpeper truly is fortunate to be located in a beautiful area of Piedmont Virginia at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. But at the same time, its location is convenient to Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Charlottesville, and Fredericksburg.
Culpeper is often a meeting place for business people, family and friends. It is about equal distance from Washington and Richmond, so if a Washingtonian is planning to meet a Richmonder, Culpeper is often the place they find most convenient. And with Routes 95, 66, and 64 linking to Routes 3, 29 and 15, it is a pleasant drive. So, Culpeper attacks interesting businesses which catch the attention of writers near and far.
In late 2014, Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community was featured in the “Focus” section of Culpeper’s weekly newspaper, The Culpeper Times. In early 2015, the town of Culpeper was featured on the CBS Sunday Morning program with a story about the Culpeper location of the Library of Congress facility for audio visual conservation where recorded film and audio are restored and stored.
